About Orlando Wait Time Predictor

Orlando Wait Time Predictor helps theme park visitors make better decisions about when to ride attractions at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort.

How we collect wait-time data

Our app monitors publicly posted wait times from park apps and entrances throughout the day. We collect this data continuously during park hours and combine it with historical patterns, current park hours, and weather forecasts to predict how wait times will change.

We do not have access to internal park operations or special relationships with Disney or Universal. All our data comes from the same publicly available sources any visitor can see.

How predictions are made

Our prediction system analyzes years of historical wait-time data alongside current conditions including:

• Live wait times for every attraction
• Current and forecast weather conditions
• Park operating hours and special events
• Historical patterns from similar days
• Ride closure and reopening history

The app displays these predictions as simple signals ("Ride now," "Wait," or "Skip") to help visitors decide what to do next. Predictions are updated continuously throughout the day as conditions change.

Our guides and editorial process

The guides section features articles about Orlando theme park strategies, wait-time patterns, and attraction-specific tips. Articles are written by the Orlando Wait Time Predictor team based on our wait-time data and extensive park knowledge.

When we reference data from our system (such as closure percentages or typical wait times), that data is derived from our logged wait-time records. We do not invent statistics. When describing general patterns ("waits typically peak in the afternoon"), we note that individual experiences vary.

All articles are reviewed for accuracy before publication. We update articles when significant changes occur, such as new ride openings, operational changes, or updated data that meaningfully shifts our recommendations.
